The city of Mansfield's Streetscape Improvement and Enhancement Project has given the downtown area a fresh new look.

Mayor Don Culliver said he's pleased with the three-phase project that includes the installation of colored stamped concrete, new benches, waste receptacles and energy efficient lights.

Culliver said the $859,825 project is paid for through funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The project is expected to be completed by September 10.
